Guidelines

1. Eligibility: This competition is exclusively for short films. Documentaries are not permitted. Entries can include short digital animation films related to the specified topic.
2. Language: Films must only be in Kannada.
3. Duration: Films should not exceed 20 minutes, including opening and closing credits. The minimum length is 1 minute, including credits. Films exceeding the 20-minute limit will be disqualified.
4. Entry Fee and Submission: The entry fee is Rs. 1000 for Indian Nations and 30 USD for NRI’s. Submissions should be made via pen drives or Google Drive links. Please fill out the application form and submit it along with the pen drive or Google Drive link and the entry fee.
5. Multiple Entries: Participants are allowed to submit multiple entries.
6. Completion Date: The film must have been shot or completed after January 1, 2023.
7. Submission Deadline: The last date for submission is August 15, 2024.
8. Originality: The short film must be original, and no watermarks of any kind should be present on the film.
9. Announcement of Winners: Shortlisted winners will be announced on August 28, 2024. Awards will be presented at an event  on August 31, 2024. Award-winning films will be screened in the presence of the jury and a celebrity guest.
10. Subtitles: Subtitles are not mandatory.
11. Format: Submitted films should be in MPEG (MP4) or MOV format with a minimum resolution of 1080P.
12. Copyright: The film must not contain any copyrighted work(s) belonging to third parties unless the participants have a license to use such works, or the use is considered fair use under copyright laws. Participants must retain any licenses and provide them to the organizers upon request.

Submission Responsibility: Entries must be submitted by the participant who is either the rights holder of the film or authorized to participate in the contest and accept the terms and conditions. Only two individuals who submit the entry will be considered the “Participants.” All communications and benefits, including prize money, will be directed solely to the participants.
14. 14. Content Use Disclaimer: Participants agree that the organizers are not responsible for any unauthorized use of the content by third parties and do not guarantee the posting of any content.
15. Jury Decision: The decision of the jury is final, unquestionable, and binding on all participants.

17. To be eligible for the first three prizes, winners must adhere to all rules, regulations, and terms as applicable.
18. Once submitted, entries cannot be withdrawn for any reason.
19. Acceptance of Terms: Entry and participation in the festival imply unconditional acceptance of these terms and regulations.

Tent Cinema/Satya Hegde Studio’s decision in all matters pertaining to this context and screening terms herein shall be final and binding in all respects.
